Terms of service

CJP is a satirical civic-commentary platform. CJP is not a registered political party under §29A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. Content tagged [SATIRE] is fictional commentary on public institutions and not on identifiable individuals.

• You are at least 13 years old.
• You can form a legally binding contract under Indian law.
• You have not been previously banned from the Platform.

You sign up with a phone number, which we verify via OTP. We assign you a pseudonymous "Swarm-ID". You may change your handle and bio. Your account is for your personal use; you may not sell, transfer, or rent it.

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → one-tap purge. Once initiated, deletion proceeds within 30 days. Certain logs may be retained per IT Rules / IT Act obligations (see /privacy).

You agree to comply with the Content Policy. In summary:

• Punch up at institutions, not down at people.
• No hate, harassment, doxxing, or threats against named individuals or protected groups.
• Mark fictional/satirical content as such. Don't pass off jokes as news.
• No content that incites violence, breaches contempt of court, or violates Indian law.

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We log every moderation decision (see /compliance).

You retain ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant the Company a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, distribute, and promote your content on the Platform and across CJP-owned channels (social media, press kits, monthly highlight reels). This license ends when you delete the content, except where the content was already shared by other users or is required to be retained for compliance.

The Platform shows in-feed native ads served by third-party ad networks. Ads are clearly labelled Ad. We apply brand-safety filters and block political-party ads, loan-app ads, and crypto ads. Ads do not represent CJP's editorial views.

You agree NOT to:

• Scrape, mirror, or systematically download the Platform.
• Impersonate any person, official, or organization.
• Use the Platform for paid political promotion in violation of ECI rules.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, security controls, or moderation.
• Distribute malware or phishing content.

We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, the Content Policy, or applicable law. You may stop using the Platform at any time. Provisions on intellectual property, indemnity, and dispute resolution survive termination.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, the Company disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid the Company in the 12 months preceding the claim — which, since the Platform is free, is ₹0.

You agree to indemnify the Company against claims arising from content you posted, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right or law.

These Terms are governed by Indian law. Courts at New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to the IT Rules 2021 grievance and appellate processes.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app, on the website, and via push notification. Continued use after notice means you accept the revised Terms.
